While the instruction manual for Augustus Loop is detailed and very well written, IMO it could use some more detail on loop creation - esp in regards to Fripp/Eno ambient style tape effects. This is not happening, nor can I hear the loops I am improvising over. Augustus Loop 圆4 2.5. While I would like to continuously record loop ‘layer upon layer’ fading one over the other, I would like to retain the original phrase the loop started with. Then it seems to continuously record over the original loop, as long as I let it. The key features of Augustus Loop that make it more than just a big delay effect are: Really long maximum delay (3600 seconds - that's one hour). However, when I hit Tap Rec again to Dub over this loop, I cannot hear the initial loop, and it appears it is being recorded over. Augustus Loop is an emulation of a tape-based delay effect, with some extra features to facilitate its use as a looping device. When I record the initial loop (Tap Rec, Tap Rec), it immediately begins playing the loop I just made (as intended). I am inserting AL on a Silicon-based Mac Mini, in Logic Pro running in Rosetta. Recently purchased Augustus Loop with the understanding it could replicate Frippertronics-like looping effects: a loop is recorded and then subsequent looping recorded in ‘sound-on-sound’ fashion is dubbed on this ‘layer’ as it slowly fades.
